The Summer
Village of Grandview is located on the south shore of Pigeon Lake,
60 km south of and 40 km west of Edmonton, Alberta. Grandview offers
boating, swimming, fishing, sailing, and windsurfing in the summer, with
four golf courses inside a 10-km radius. Winter activities include
skating, skiing, and ice fishing. |

Working Well Workshop
The key to ensuring a safe and secure water supply is in knowing
how groundwater works, learning
about your well and understanding how to properly maintain it.
To find out how to protect your well,
attend one of the free water well management workshops on February
22 and 23, 2010.
The workshops will cover:
-groundwater - how it works
-water quality and quantity testing
-well protection - protecting your well from contamination
-water sampling - how to do it

Water Wells: A Shared Responsibility
The second of two free information presentations sponsored by Wetaskiwin
Synergy Initiatives will be held
on January 19, 2010 at 6:30 pm at Lone Ridge Hall (Protection of
Water Wells).

Wastewater Bylaw #258
A resolution was passed at the
June 27th, 2009, Council meeting to revise Waste Water Bylaw #258.
A member of Alberta Municipal Affairs was present at the Council
Meeting to offer advice to
Council on how best to protect the lake environment with a
recommendation to revise the existing
Waste Water Bylaw keeping consistency with other Summer Villages
around the lake. Council
will waive the $100.00 permit fee, however, Alberta Permit Pro will
charge a fee. Please
